USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service

Company Description

The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is a federal agency that works hand-in-hand with the people of Rhode Island and the state’s three Conservation Districts (Eastern RI, Northern RI, and Southern RI) to improve and protect our soil, water, air, plants, animals, and energy. We employ conservation experts to help Rhode Island farmers, livestock producers, woodland owners, oyster growers, and small-scale growers develop conservation plans for sustainable and resilient operations and improve nutrient and animal waste management. Our staff also helps communities create, restore, and manage wetlands and other natural ecosystems; and advises on flood protection and watershed planning. We also provide financial assistance through our Farm Bill programs to help our clients put conservation on the ground. Please contact your local NRCS Field Office or Conservation District Office for more information or to schedule a visit.
